So guys,
We were just busy with a question for kdyer. At the same moment we receive a mail about this book, because we suppose that in Chapter 11 some third party tools for kixtart had find a place.
quote:
Chapter 11: Troubleshooting This last chapter covers error handling, creating your own log file, and using KiXtart's log file. It explains KiXtart's debugging capabilities and identifies other tools for debugging KiXtart scripts. This chapter lists common problems with suggestions for avoiding them. It discusses the limitations imposed by Windows security, along with third party tools available to help deal with security issues you may encounter. Finally, it identifies a handful of documented problems.
Also we know that Ruud van Velsen did review this book also. greetings.
btw: we are nearly sleep at the moment. On the priorities are a little bit different. Just different by personal circumstances.
btw: we don't have any commercial interests to promote this book.

I dunno. $35.00 for an e-book seems just a bit pricey to me.
Like the rest of you, I haven't seen the text or the layout, so I can't comment on the quality of the book. But the most expensive part of any book is publishing expenses; printing , editing , distribution , advertising, etc... With the author actually getting little of the 'profit'. very similar to the music industry.
An e-book however, is just a bit different. DRM may be an issue.
of course, I may be completely wrong
I know there is a 'coupon' on kixscripts site for a discount, but...

Dear,
Possible that they can put an example chapter on their site to get an impression of it. Also we are missing how many pages this book includes. greetings.

I like this book because its the Start to Finish guide to Kixtart Scripting ... I'm really good at starting scripts but have a real tough time finishing them, so have much to learn
Bob Kelly is the fellow that works with Stevie(B) at iTripoli and the Kixscripts editor (Kixscripts.com) ... If memory serves, Bob also owns and operates the appdeploy.com website. An extremely popular website from what I understand.
So I would say the credentials are there. Nice guy too, have chatted in the past.
