IIRC, we also offerd him to help out if he'd like to purchase a new version of UBB and we offered him to appoint a co-site-maintainer.
However, nothing resulted out of these offers.
Anyway, whatever happens with the BBS software, it must guarantee that availability of all past threads when cross- or up-grading it.
