Here you go Kent. This is a very good CONVERTER if you want.

I just don't see using THAT much math with KiXtart. I'd rather see other Networking features that some of our UDFs do or other functions then Math. Don't want a 5MB file size for a feature you may want or run into once in a year or more. (IMHO) ![[Smile]](images/icons/smile.gif) [ 15. May 2003, 07:23: Message edited by: NTDOC ]

Doc,
I think you have a point.. For example, circle formulae or say the volume maybe handy for KiXForms, but not really necessary for KiX itself.

Yes, but is all that eye candy really worth ANOTHER bloated piece of software?

I converted a LN function from another source here: SQRT() a Square root function (reply # 7) but its precision is only 5 bytes. Just dont ask how it works because I have no idea! (I had to lie down for a week after giving up on it)

I think one of the most important math additions to KiXtart would be Power or say x^y. I know that Bryce has built the SQRT Function too.

It was just underscored yesterday when I was playing around with a conversion from VBS to KiX.

No.. I went to http://cwashington.netreach.net where I found a Foldersize VBS..
Enumerate All Directories With At Least Xmb Of Data
VBScript.. code:
Total Size: " & FormatNumber(drv.TotalSize/2^30, 3,0,0,-1) & " GBytes (Microsoft Calulated Value)"
We should be able to conver to KiXtart.. code:
Total Size: " + FormatNumber($drv.TotalSize/2^30, 3,0,0,-1) + " GBytes (Microsoft Calulated Value)"
I believe that FormatNumber is "built-in" to VBS.
Thanks,
Kent

So... Are we ready to re-submit back in the Suggestions Forum??
- sin()
- cos()
- tan()as well as their corresponding functions (asin() acos() atan() )
- p (Pi as ummm ... a constant ?)
- e (as well)
- pwr() (supporting floating point operations of course)
- sqrt() (cdbl-enabled as well)
- abs()
