Looking at - http://www.webattack.com/freeware/comm/fwemclients.shtml
We see that the "highest rated" are -
- IncrediMail > I did not like as it "stamps" e-mail with it's ads and it is heavy on resources
- Pegasus Mail > Have heard good things about this program
- Ultrafunk Popcorn > Looks pretty good
- Eudora > you already know
- Foxmail > Don't know anything about this

This is the reason why I like the http://pricelessware.org stance on this -
quote:
DEFINITION The Pricelessware List reflects the programs favored by members of the newsgroup alt.comp.freeware ; it is not an exhaustive list of the best available Freeware. Most of the listings are well-known programs, but there are some hard-to-find goodies to be discovered. Although most categories will list only 1 or 2 selections, a few will list 3-4 programs.
There are NO Adware/Spyware programs included in the Pricelessware List. Please read news:alt.comp.freeware 's position on Adware in the following FAQ links:
http://clients.net2000.com.au/~johnf/faq.html#11 http://www.ccountry.net/~jcorliss/F.A.Q./Page3.html
I do like http://www.webattack.com to see what the ratings are in comparison too..
Thanks!

Rad,
You are right.. However, http://www.openoffice.org is really the free one whree there are some costs involved with Sun's implementation.

I would be interested in hearing what you think of Foxmail.

Cool.. Glad to hear it. I started to look at it with Outlook (not OE) and it imports the contacts from Outlook on a POP installation. Now, to export the message store, but Foxmail seems pretty OE-Centric. So, to export to OE and then to Foxmail.

The other thing I would wish for and it has part of it is the abity to connect to IMAP Accounts. Sure, you can go to Hotmail, but what about others like Myrealbox?
I will see if it has been posed as a question on their Forum.

I thought there was a Forum on the Foxmail site. The other thing is that when you use Word as your e-mail editor, it adds a button to send which is pretty neat. However, when you uinstall the software, it still keeps it.
Hmmm..
