Hi,

I have a written a batch file that launches a kix script. In that batch file it looks to see if their is a new version of kix. Unfortunately users don't have rights to delete the old kix32.exe.

Does anyone know a good way of upgrading kix automatically via the log on script.

Best wishes

Michael

On win9x I place the KiXtart files in %windir%. Win9x has no permission issues. On any NT based OS's I use the user's %Temp% directory where they have permissions.

Search the KiXtar BBS for login batch files, we have discussed this numerous times. Also, the FAQ Forum contains a wealth of information. See e.g. LOGON.BAT (the overkill version)
