I don't remember all the changes but the the look has been improved a little.
also the slider should work perfectly now (no problems with the length) and you are able to do your own slider with just modifying the slider.udf

what comes to the main change, it can be seen also on the form:
you can select from the history which forum you want review.

get it from:
http://www.gwspikval.com/jooel/scripts/bbChecker/BBChecker.exe

Thanks for all the hard work, yet again. Can I req a change? Not to the script, but the installation. Can you set it so the installer doesn't delete itself after installing?

Jooel,

Good stuff!

I uninstalled it and replaced it with your version.

Very nice!

chris,
the installer does not delete itself. if it does, there is something wrong.
the installer is same script as the uninstaller.

kent,
the installer can do the upgrade by itself.
meaning, if older version found, it will keep the settings but upgrade the files.

Interesting. Whenever I install the bbcheckerii.exe (from my desktop) the exe disappears.

Also, I keep getting an 'error in expression' message with bbchecker and the script closes. Has happened twice this morning since I updated. [Frown]

ok, the show topic fixed in current (1.3.1)

same file, different version.

chris, have you wkix elsewhere in the system?
and have you it or checker running while you are installing?
what OS?

I experienced before same type of error but not with latest builds.

anyway, the persons who have working code, enjoy.
the ones that do experience problems may try to solve them or just simple load from the archive the 1.1.1 version.

cheers.

The only other version of Wkix32.exe on my system is in an archive folder that is not in my 'path.' I didn't have anything much running at the time the errors occurred (just Outlook, a CMD window, a folder, and IE). Not sure, it happened twice real quick, now its been running stable for about an hour. I'll keep you notified. [Smile]

k.

sh*t, just found out 10 minutes ago that my vacation has been shrinked.
now I have only monday free.
and just when all the plans made!
glad that I'm a bachelor and can live with that...

chris, does the exe-disappear still?
if it does, is the bbchecker program group created in start menu with two links?

Found it, Jooel. You're deleting bbchecker.* from the desktop. It so happens that that is where I am running the install from. [Wink]

Maybe try this...

code:
;if exist($name+"\bbChecker*") del $name+"\bbChecker*" endif
if exist($name+"\bbChecker*.lnk") del $name+"\bbChecker*.lnk" endif

right!

it was actually just to remove the link made with II 1.0.x

when I changed the shortcut place, I thought I might remove also the old links.
but as the link actually has not changed, there is no need to even remove it.

so, might as well remove the line.
thanks for spotting that.

I believe there is a memory leak in Wkix32.exe version 4.11.00 or Kixforms.dll version 2.0.5.33. I have had bbChecker running all weekend and 94% of my 512MB was consumed. When I shutdown bbchecker 65% of my memory was returned.

I posted a similar observation into the Beta Forum when running one of the Game24 KiXtart Golf scripts. I was using kiXtart 4.12 beta 1 and had increading amounts of memory until the script error out with an 'out-of-memory' error despite having 512MB of RAM and dynamic swapfile sizes.

hoby, the current checker mistakenly says it uses 4.11 but actually it runs 4.12 beta1

I just assumed that the ones using my checker mostlikely know what is going on and I may use them as beta testers at the same time.

what comes to the memory leak...

shawn said that his timer has an issue but what I've seen and heard, it seems to really be a leak in wkix 4.12

I checked the version of WKIX.exe in the bbChecker directory via file properties and it is 4.11.00. bbCheckkerII.kix is dated 2002/9/20 the day I downloaded and installed it.

I have always used your installation package. Does that mean I should upgrade to be running the latest code?

Its probably forms that is leaking ... curious that the script coming out of Golf4 is also leaking ... don't think the script that I saw was recursive or anything either ... someone is going to have to bite the bullet and reduce the golf script down to the minimum code that causes a leak. The only thing these scripts have in common really is that they both use EXECUTE() quite a bit ...
