Anonymous Anonymous Unregistered	What we like to have is an dynamical messagebox. So that we can change the contents of the messagebox without creating a new messagebox. Now when we want to add something in a messagebox whe have to close it and open a new one. This is useful if you want to display an actual time or a progress bar that is created in a loop. The only possibility now is displaying in an cmd-box mvg Guillaume

Anonymous Anonymous Unregistered	I'm planning to make a general "Windows-interface" for Kixtart, even though I know I'll run into problems, since Kixtart doesn't support complex types (structs or records) or classes (and therefore objects). Having this in mind, how would you update the constant (updateable) messagebox? It's not so simple a task dealing with "objects" in a "poor" language like Kixtart. But you can write the code quite easy ... only it's not reuseable like objects.

That script was a start at exactly what your proposing... but i've since abandoned it... now I'm hoping that you can actually make it work ! Kixtart doesn't have complex types, structures and objects ? Agreed - but you can cleverly "fake" them using arrays and functions... just follow the scoping rules and keep your "object" state data encapsulated (inside arrays) ! -Shawn
