Vax Vax Lurker Registered: 2003-06-11 Posts: 1 Loc: Alameda, ca	I'm new to the board and am hoping to get some insight into issues between Windows 2003 and Kixtart. We're contemplating upgrading to Windows Server 2003 from Windows NT and have a significant time investment in Kix and I doubt that they want me to re-write all the login scripts in VB. I saw a thread by Duke regarding Kix crashing DC's posted in May. Is this a recognized bug in Windows Server 2003/Kix?

KiXtart does not run on the server. It runs on the client. If you need to support Win9x computers then you may need to install the KXRPC service on the server. I got you involved in the thread from BlackDuke. http://www.kixtart.org/board/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=007189 Yes there was an issue that caused the DC to reboot but we did not determine the cause. BlackDuke decided to rebuild his server with 2000 Server instead of working through the issue. I brought it to Ruud's attention and he replied to me but has not yet provided a prognosis. _________________________ Give a man a fish and he will be back for more.
