Hi!

We use kix 4.67 in our whole environment. Everything is working fine.

Now we have an isolated network where the ENUMGROUP()-functions takes about 20 seconds to get the groups. For testing purposes we deactivated the firewall between the client and all domain controllers in the isolated network as well as to the regular network. But the client in the isolated network always wait 20 seconds.

Does anyone knows how the ENUMGROUP-function exactly works? Ports, protocols and/or which domain controller will be asked. Wins or DNS!?

Best regards

Andrew

Andrew, I'm curious, did you ever resolve this ? I probably would have wiresharked it to see if anything hanging on network access.

kixtart already knows the groups before you call the enumgroup function. if you get delay like that there is something off on the system itself as separate network access at that point shouldn't be required.
