Sealeopard Sealeopard KiX Master Registered: 2001-04-25 Posts: 11165 Loc: Boston, MA, USA	Windows Server Update Services is now available for (free) download at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/updateservices/downloads/WSUS.mspx I've tested it a little bit and it's a good improvement over SUS but can't compete with fee-based solutions. Also, Microsoft is opening up the Office 2003 XML Reference Schemas, see http://www.microsoft.com/office/xml/default.mspx So, we'll need to get going on the XML-support. The Microsoft files are ZIP-compressed, thus for KiXtart manipulation one must unZIP first. _________________________ There are two types of vessels, submarines and targets.

The port is configurable so you dont have to use port 80 on WSUS, i have only read the docs once, but i think one alternate port 6??? is allready given by the install GUI -Erik

The new WSUS kicks major butt and meets most needs for patch management I think... GUI, Logging, BITS, infrastructure, grouping etc etc.. everything's changed in it for the better. _________________________ The tart is out there
