GetMyKix GetMyKix Fresh Scripter Registered: 2003-11-05 Posts: 22	I want to have my XP workstations time sync with a domain time source. Using SETTIME "*" I get a message on the XP PC about the workstation's time and network are different, see help. In the KIX manual there's note about looking at Q131715 from Microsoft. I did. But, I can't find anything about "Change the system time privilege" for NT or higher users. Any suggestions to make this work? Thanks in advance.

otf otf Getting the hang of it Registered: 2003-11-21 Posts: 53 Loc: Scotland	It is a requirement where i work for all workstations to have the same time. I'm thinking it'll be best to use SETTIME(\\DOMAIN) every time the user logs on and grant the user permission to change time so the command will execute. What problems is this likely to cause with my AD environment???

I'm using the Windows32 Time Service in an NT4 domain with all servers/cleints running some version of Microsoft time service to synchronize times. Teh only clients that need SETTIME are Windows 9x as Microsoft does not have an appropriate service for them. _________________________ There are two types of vessels, submarines and targets.

Yes, if you are talking about W32time.exe from the reskit installed on NT4. AFIAK, W32tm.exe that is included in W2K out-of-the-box does not need an INI file. _________________________ Give a man a fish and he will be back for more.
