Beware of Windows 10 1809 Bug with Mapped Drives

Mapped network drives don't work in Windows 10, version 1809
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help...10-version-1809

If you have static drive mappings, evidently Windows 10 1809 breaks them. I deployed about 20 workstations yesterday with 1809, and didn't notice this behavior, but we use a logon script that reconnects the drives each logon.

I also just got an email telling me that UPS Worldship is fubar this morning, so I get to figure out why 1809 is screwing with that too.

Re: Beware of Windows 10 1809 Bug with Mapped Drives

Sadly, I'm going around setting the GPO to block 1809 for now. I need to get a better handle on what to expect. Usually, I just roll it out and have next to no problems. But today wasn't fun. Many one offs, where 99% of the computers were fine, but a few had problems. The biggest rub is not having any way to disable the firewall notifications in the action center. The way we have done it in the past is no longer there, and no results yet on Google for a real answer.

Had to completely uninstall/reinstall UPS Worldship
One computer had to reinstall Adbobe Cloud Installer
One computer had to reinstall Extensis UTC
Something else I'm forgetting

We're still mostly Win7 here where I work now. But I know they're in the process of rolling out Win10 throughout this year. Wonder how many headaches it's going to introduce.

I'm in the process of rolling out 1809 too, experiencing the same issues as Allen and came across this: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/11/16/windows_10_update/
