Ladies and Gentlemen... Boys and Girls... Visual KixForms Designer Things to point out, It's not Perfect, but it will allow you to create forms with ease. Things to do. Assign images from imagelist to toolbuttons. List builder for combo/list boxes. Form Drawing tools, eg line, circle, printxy, etc. Save dialog box would be nice. If you have any feedback, post it here, or via the fixforms website. By the way, all the forms in the designer were built using the designer. [ 17. January 2003, 16:59: Message edited by: Ghost ] |

Neat ! hmmm ... I know quite a work for you and Shawn in the progress of Kixforms as is , but it won't be perfect (or even visual) without a preview of the design , plus moving of controls in the design view Don't get me wrong ! This is just constructive criticism |

I told Shawn that I was thinking of doing this, and he said that he would have a look at a sticky prop for the next release. I just thought that I'd share what I had done so far, and keep updating it, hopefully, inline with kixform developments. The designer is WYSIWYG. [ 17. Wow - what a first cut !!! You surprised the heck out of me - knowing full well that there very little support for doing any of this kind of stuff - brilliant (really). The fact that you cant have an embedded form is just a limitation of the library - not anything else. But now that I know were your heading with this - can add the appropriate support going forward. Well done. -Shawn |

Very, very nice!! The Visual KixForms Designer will definently boost the use of KiXforms. This truely brings KiXtart to another level. I'll give you 100 stars for this!! |

First bug report: Clicking the "Maximize" button brings the Designer to an uncontrolled state. ?? |

Ghost/Shawn.. Like the new kixform! Kind of a wild idea here.. How about drag 'n drop support? Kent |

Ghost ! I am so sorry for the point 'w/o a preview of the design' That shot was surely too fast ! It is there ... Sorry , Couple of things though to start : -> Add a FileSave/ Open Dialog (kind of) , you know ... like a project you work and you leave it on for later revamping (Better place for these to store (by default) would be a subfolder in the Folder of the Designer) -> Make the form as is controlable/ changeable by the property / value List -> Really great work by now ... I owe and gave you already your 5 Stars ! J. [ 18. January 2003, 13:00: Message edited by: jpols ] |
