KIX64 ?

After installing a workstation with Windows XP pro X64 i noticed it wouldn`t run our kix32 based login script. Is there a way to use KIX32 on Windows XP pro X64?

Can we expect a KIX64 sometime in the near future? Windows XP 64 and Vista 64 are getting more common by the week.

Thanks!

Yes, please consider this in the next release of KIX...

Re: KIX64 ?

Hi

Do you have any idea when a 64 bits compatible version of Kix could be available ? Is there someone working on it right now or it's just in the planning for a future version ?

We are actually deploying new servers with Windows Server 2003 x64. That's why i'm interested with a 64 bits version of Kix too.

The login scripts we are using for all our other servers (2k, 2k3 and some NT) are working almost correctly on x64

The only problem i got so far is the registry. When Kix write/read from the HKLM\Software key in the registry, with x64, it ended up in HKLM\Software\Wow6432nodes.

And windows don't seem to really bother about reading parameters in HKLM\Software\Wow6432nodes keys

It's really annoying since we change a lots of things in the HKLM\Software keys in our login scripts

Thanks in advance for your answer

Sorry for my bad english

Re: KIX64 ?

anyways, in the next build (currently in the works) there is an option to disable/enable x64-file-redirection.

Re: KIX64 ?

Is there any news on the kix64 version. It really would be great if a 64-bit version is closer now. I ran into problems with my scripts on a x64 Windows 2003 (EnumValue function).
