Changing desktop images

This is my first time here and Im looking forward to learning a lot from everyone. I am currently running kix scripts in a 98/2000 mixed environment. I would like to forcibly change everyones desktop to a .htm page with an active desktop. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

TQ

Re: Changing desktop images

Don't do it. First, it'll make you very unpopular and second, it slows down the computers.

Force it using system user / computer policies?

Re: Changing desktop images

And if you're looking for the registry keys that need to be changed, then you shoudl run a registyr tracker and make a snapshot before and after the desktop changes and compare those two snapshots.

you might also want to use the KiXtart BBS Search function and search for 'Active Directory', this would result in a list of posts like Active Desktop and Wallpaper

However, I have to agree with Les, don't do it unless there is a justification why Active Desktop and a HTML page will increase user productivity by slowing down the computer.
