kixtart 2010 4.63 zip file missing kixtart.dll

i downloaded the kixtart 2010 4.63 zip file from http://www.kixtart.org/ downloads link. There wasn't a kixtart.dll. the accompanying docs stated:

You will have to get the file from an older version. Nothing has changed to it, so Ruud did not include it.

You should also note that it's only needed for Windows 9x (16-bit) platforms used in an Active Directory environment. I certainly hope this is not the case! \:D

I thought those were the kx16.dll, kx32.dll, and kx95.dll? I don't think KiXtart.dll was included until 4.61? At least that's the first time it shows up in the versions that I have downloaded.

Unless the previous dll's were just merged together as kixtart.dll in recent versions.

Yeah... the kixtart.dll is for COM.

Yeah - right... forgot about that. It isn't needed by Kix, though.. it's to use Kix via COM from other apps.

I was kinda in the same thinking plane as Shane... win Oldies having those other .dlls

Okay... I'll nab the .dll from a previous version.

If I may indulge you all for one last time, (on this post)...
my assumption is:
4.63
is backwards compatible w/ previous kix ver coding commands, UDFs, & syntax?
and plays nice with Kixforms?

Yes - I use it with KF regularly. One caveat (see the recent Beta discussion) is that you must be consistent with tokenization. We should be able to run any script tokenized with Kix 4.6x with any version equal or higher, but in practice, there have been odd issues and invalid errors thrown. When I upgrade Kix, I retokenize the apps that run tokenized.

Also make sure to find that most recent version of kixforms.dll (2.47.5). I don't remember which version exactly, but one of the kix32.exe version jump around 4.6x stopped working with the older kixforms.
