Is it possible with Kix (during logon) to disable devices such as USB ports, CD-R/RW and floppy drives? |

Hello. To disable devices you need administrator rights. You can disable devices within a script with a microsoft tool (DEVCON.EXE) Regards Danny |

First I've heard of DevCon, but it may help with a problem I was having as well. Thanks. More Info and download: 311271 - FILE: DevCon Command Line Utility Alternative to Device Manager |

Agreed - very interesting utility. I've been needing to provide support staff a simple method of enabling/disabling cd-roms on remote machines, and this might be just the ticket. |
