Disabling Devices

Is it possible with Kix (during logon) to disable devices such as USB ports, CD-R/RW and floppy drives?

Hello.

To disable devices you need administrator rights. You can disable devices within a script with a microsoft tool (DEVCON.EXE)

Agreed - very interesting utility.

I've been needing to provide support staff a simple method of enabling/disabling cd-roms on remote machines, and this might be just the ticket.
