Hi hearmeout.
If you keep up with the reading and searching you will certainly have fun in the scripting job.
About the X button just use the serch link above cause about 10 posts ago someone have asked the same question here

if you are not using kixforms but are talking about kix itself and it's console window.
try using wkix32.exe it has the X-disabled.
