Hi,I've got a script to generate a new outlook profile for Outlook 97 (use the newprof.exe tool) and for Outlook 2000 (use the modprof.exe tool.) It doesn't matter on which OS I'm working the both work. Now there is Office XP. Does anybody know if there is a profile generation tool for Office XP because newprof and modprof generate an error. Thanx AukeB

Auke,It looks like there is a whole paradigm shift on this... There are two different options for this: Chapter 6 - Deploying On Windows 2000 Which uses the GPO (Group Policy Editor). Chapter 7 - Deploying On Windows NT 4.0 Which uses the /jm switch for the Setup program.. HTH, - Kent [ 06 February 2002: Message edited by: kdyer ]

I am interested in creating Microsoft Outlook Profiles in XP using Kixtart. Profgen and Newprof do not work; any ideas?

Kyder,
Your solution worked the first time. Thank you. Is there a method of preventing Outlook from opening during the profile creation; i.e. quiet mode?

I have tried to use newprof.exe but it generates error message about memory. What version of newprof.exe are you using? Where can I get the file? The command that I sued to run with newprof.exe is
NewProf.exe -P outlook.prf
Hope to hear from you.
