This Alert is to make you aware that Microsoft released an updated version of the Approval Analyzer tool and updated the Knowledge Base 912307, Synchronizing SUS 1.0 SP1 Servers with Windows Update after December 12, 2005 may cause previously approved updates to be unapproved.
The new version of the tool addresses an issue discovered last week where some updates not approved by the SUS administrator could be deployed. That issue only affected the original version of the Approval Analyzer tool. Therefore, Customers who have followed the manual steps in the KB need not take any action.
Customers who have not yet taken steps to address the issue discussed in KB 912307 or who ran the original version of the Approval Analyzer tool should download and run the new version of the tool.
